The Gatesville United Methodist Men’s Unit is chartered annually through the General Commission on United Methodist Men.  The group reports annually to the charge conference.  The unit provides a dedicated ministry for building men spiritually and involving men in the church’s ministry.  United Methodist Men exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every man’s life. Men’s ministry leads to the spiritual growth of men and effective discipleship.  This purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ (Discipline Para. 256).

The Methodist Men’s Club has two sources of income: a public Pancake Supper in February and parking cars for local football games in the fall.  The group sponsors the Methodist Men Baseball Team; purchases Church Growth and Development Shares; contributes to the Methodist Children’s Home, Gatesville Care Center and the Big Sting.  They also adopt a family in need at Christmas time through the Boys and Girls Club.

All men of the church are invited to join the group.  Watch the Flashlights and Spotlights for meeting times.  Kenneth Riddle, President; Doug Peevey, Vice President
